NHSOB thank volunteers for their recent support

Newport High School Old Boys recently suffered serious flooding of our clubhouse and pitches following the recent storm that battered Wales.

Storm Bert saw us suffer terrible damage to our clubhouse, rugby equipment, flood lights and the pitches. This comes just four years after the damage we suffered during Storm Dennis.

Following the recent set up of a GoFundMe page the club has been inundated with donations and offers of support from local businesses and those within the rugby community too.

Neil Short, NHSOB Chairman said, "We're devastated by the damages that were caused by the recent storm, but thanks to the local community and local businesses we're on the road to recovery.

"While we're busy cleaning and tidying the debris of flooding, and getting the club back on its feet, we wanted to take the time to thank everyone who has donated. Whether large or small, we very much appreciate your support and help as we continue to rebuild our club."

We'll do our very best to thank the many volunteers and individuals who have helped us as soon as we can, but wanted to thank those companies who've already made an impact.

Thanks to Barratt Homes who've loaned us dehumdifiers, as well as GD Environmental who have supplied us with a skip for all of the debris and rubbbish left from the flooding. We also want to thank Morgan Parkes Electrical for checking that our electricity is safe and usable.

We'd also like to thank Dragons RFC for their support and help.

If you'd like to show your support to the club then please donate to our GoFundMe page, via the following link https://gofund.me/c764f090
